Anime Review:
Mazinkaiser SKL Episode 1

What this is about: I made the promise that I would review every new subtitled anime show (excluding blatant yaoi and/or porn) released during the Spring, Summer and Fall 2010 seasons, so now I am going back to review a handful of shows that I missed over the past few months for one reason or another. This time around, it’s Mazinkaiser SKL, the first episode premiered on November 27, 2010.

tl;dr review: Anime made for men, by men who know what men like; GIANT ROBOTS FUCK YEAH!

Episode Summary: Machine Island, which is in a state of perpetual war between three different robot armies, has been separated from the rest of the world by a gravity curtain. When the stability of the gravity curtain is about to fail, all life on Earth is threatened. The deadly Skull Force has been sent in to remedy the situation, including the two-man giant robot wonder of Mazinkaiser SKL.

My Thoughts: If Spike TV decided to make an anime series, it still would not one-hundredth as manly as Mazinkaiser. Fuck all those wimpy men, this show is so chock-full of testosterone that it makes you want to go punch someone in the face after watching it. Where men are real macho men, women look like actual curvy women, and vast armies constantly fight each other in giant mother-fucking robots and there’s blood everywhere. But don’t take my word for it, check out this review, bitches.

The verdict:

The last of the un-reviewed 2010 shows, I swear!: Yuri Seijin Naoko-san, Yumeiro Patisserie Mune Kyun Tropical Island, Kuroshitsuji II Special: Ciel in Wonderland, Beelzebub OVA, Mirai Nikki, Bakugan Gundalian Warriors, Chi’s Sweet Home OVA, Detective Conan Magic File 4, Detective Conan OVA: Kid in Trap Island
